drawing exercise

I am ashamed to say that I've found myself getting away from drawing too much lately. It has lead to distortions increasingly sneaking their way into my work. Drawing is an exercise that can't be avoided for long. It's like practice for a sports player, neglect it at your own peril.

And a Merry Christmas to all!

uh... wow.
I'm sorry, my intention was to post something a bit more intelligent, articulate, complimentary and profound regarding your work. Unfortunately, "wow" was all that came out. I'll work on that. I promise.

By the way, Merry Christmas to you and your family!

Wonderful David, this has a trace of Mucha art nouveau to it.. perhaps the heavy outline and gentle framed features. Great image.

I appreciate your sentiment on practice. My sketch work has been crumbling over the past few months. I intend on spending the holidays with a sketchpad in hand.

Happy holidays.

Very true David, practice makes men perfect. Great work.
David, after Obama's caricature, I just posted George Bush's caricature. I will very grateful to you if you give your valuable suggestions. Wishing you and your family Happy New Year.

Dave, I LOVE this picture. I would say something artsy but you haven't taught me artsy lingo yet. You also haven't taught me how to clog to turn on the lights yet either. Are you going to add color to this one? How would I get a copy?

you reach a level of transparency in your work that is incredible! and, i'm not sure where you are talking of distortions... i see none here (though i don't know what the child looks like either, but I figure this is better than a photo)
do you do commissions? ;D
